The National Association of Hospice Fundraisers is the U.K. professional association for fundraisers working in the hospice movement.
Its aim is to help its members (approximately 375) to maximise the funds they are able to raise for their Hospice though the provision of Subsidised training, regular newsletters, an annual conference, manual, local networking meetings, support for National initiatives and economically priced merchandise for members to use in fundraising campaigns.
Hospices provide palliative care for patients with life-threatening illnesses, usually, but not exclusively cancer.
There are currently over 200 Hospices in the United Kingdom, each serving their own local community. A directory of U.K. Hospices, along with information about the services they provide, is available online from The Hospice Information Service.
Hospices rely on support and financial contributions from the general public to continue to be able to care for their patients. There are many ways to help your local Hospice, from working as a volunteer, legacy donations, to fundraising. Please take a few minutes to find out more!
